WHAT COASTLANDS LOOKS LIKE DURING COVID19
All of the information below is pre-COVID19. Our heart for hospitality, connection, and authenticity haven’t changed, however, the format has changed dramatically. On most Sundays we meet over zoom in order to protect the most vulnerable in our community while still offering opportunity for meaningful connection. (If you don’t think that meaningful connection is possible over zoom, join us on a Sunday morning to see for yourself!) We meet at 10 am Pacific time. For the immediate future, we will be alternating between zoom gatherings, beach gatherings, and house church gatherings. Make sure to sign up for our email list to stay in the loop and know where to find us each week!
First Things First
We'd love to get to know you over a cup of coffee! When you arrive on a Sunday morning, you will be offered complimentary coffee, tea, and pastries, which we enjoy together before the service and during a break time. This is just one way that we try to cultivate a friendly, hospitable community at Coastlands Vineyard.
What happens on a typical Sunday?
Our mornings begin around 10 o'clock, with some refreshments, coffee and tea, and an opportunity to greet one another and make new friends. Around 10:10 we join in song to worship God. After worshipping through music, we dismiss the second through eighth grade children to head to their Sunday school classroom. Then we sit down together, and someone from within the community shares a message. After the message, we respond to what we have heard through sharing and prayer. After the service, people often linger to chat, catch up, pray together, and (of course) drink more coffee.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
If you have children in 1st grade or younger and you'd like them to attend a kids' class, our greeters will direct you toward our children’s table for check-in when you arrive. Children 2nd to 8th grade can join their parents in the auditorium for worship, and then go to their classroom between worship and the message. We have great children's and youth ministries, and we encourage your children to take part. However, if you prefer, you're also welcome to have your child of any age join you in the auditorium for the duration of the service.
Please take a look at our Next Steps section to see how to get connected during and after your visit.
